MIPS Spherical is a refinement and evolution of the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS). With this sophisticated design, two layers of EPP foam fit together like a ball and socket. This system helps protect the brain from rotational energy by allowing up to 10- to 15- millimeters of relative motion between the helmet and head during the first milliseconds of an impact.
