Meet the king of jackets. The Lab Coat is one of Flylow’s most premium pieces, a jacket meticulously designed for climbing and skiing mountains in harsh conditions and variable temperatures. Made with eVent DV Expedition fabric, it boasts a 30k waterproof rating while retaining an air permeable level of breathability. The three-layer fabric repels snow and sleet but allows moisture and sweat to escape, so you don’t overheat on the go. Smart features like waterproof zippers, ample underarm vents, articulated sleeves for mobility, and pockets easily accessible while wearing a backpack make this a lightweight, packable hardshell built for the backcountry.

  • eVent: eVent basically invented the idea of air permeable waterproof membranes. What is that, you ask? Billions of tiny pores that keep moisture, like rain or snow, from invading from the outside while magically still letting heat and sweat escape from the inside when you’re on the move. Brilliant, right? That prevents those pesky temperature swings you can experience on a skintrack or powder day. We use premium eVent DV Expedition 40D.
  • High Performance DWR: We dare you to go stand in a shower or the next rainstorm with your favorite Flylow jacket on. See how the water molecules roll off the shell fabric? That’s due to our high-performance Durable Water Repellent, a polymer coating added to fabric that makes it hydrophobic, meaning moisture beads up and rolls off, like marbles on glass.
  • 100 Percent Backcountry: Designed specifically for the rigors of backcountry terrain, these products are light and breathable for the climb uphill; waterproof and resilient for the way down. Streamlined designs make them packable enough to stuff in a backcountry pack, while core features like pocket placement and venting are conceived with backpacks and the backcountry at the forefront. If it can handle the backcountry, it can handle anything.
