The Maxxis Minion DHR II Tire is engineered for precision control and enhanced performance on demanding trails. Borrowing side knobs from the iconic DHF and widening them for added support, this tire excels in cornering. Its ramped center tread improves acceleration, while paddle-like knobs dig in during hard braking, maintaining control. Featuring the 3C MaxxTerra compound, it strikes a balance between grip and durability. The DoubleDown casing offers enduro racers the robust protection of a downhill tire in a lighter package. Designed as tubeless-ready, it allows for lower air pressures, reduced rolling resistance, and increased traction.
- 3C MAXXTERRA: An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
- DOUBLE DOWN (DD): DoubleDown (DD) is the next step in the evolution of the dual-ply tire casing for enduro racing. Two 120 TPI casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert provide the enduro racer with the support and protection of a downhill tire, but in a lighter package.

TUBELESS READY: Tubeless ready tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting because there is no tube. Tubeless ready tires are denoted by the letters “TR” on the sidewall.
Tubeless ready tires must be mounted to tubeless compatible rims and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain pressure. Liquid sealants have the added benefit of sealing small punctures. Be sure to check your sealant regularly and refresh as needed as it will dry out over time.
Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tires: tubeless road, tubular, and tubeless ready. The use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tire will void the warranty.
