The Maxxis Minion DHR II Tire is engineered for aggressive riding with side knobs inspired by the iconic Minion DHF, now widened for enhanced cornering stability. Its ramped center tread edges deliver rapid acceleration and a seamless transition when leaning, while paddle-like knobs ensure control during hard braking. Featuring the 3C MaxxTerra compound for an ideal balance of traction and durability, and EXO+ construction for superior puncture protection and sidewall strength, this tubeless-ready tire offers lower rolling resistance and increased grip, making it a top choice for demanding trails.
- 3C MAXXTERRA: An intermediate compound configuration used in select mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
- EXO+: Maxxis' EXO+ construction combines two of our best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer runs from bead-to-bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls. Combined, these two materials create EXO+ which improves tread puncture protection by 27%; sidewall durability by 51%; and resistance to pinch flats by 28%.

TUBELESS READY: Tubeless ready tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting because there is no tube. Tubeless ready tires are denoted by the letters “TR” on the sidewall.
Tubeless ready tires must be mounted to tubeless compatible rims and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain pressure. Liquid sealants have the added benefit of sealing small punctures. Be sure to check your sealant regularly and refresh as needed as it will dry out over time.
Liquid sealants should only be used in the following types of tires: tubeless road, tubular, and tubeless ready. The use of liquid sealants in any other Maxxis tire will void the warranty.
