The M7 Mantra steps up from the M6 Mantra with 4 Radius Drive, a sidecut Völkl hasn't put in any other model. It lets you vary your turn radius, so the ski stays easy to steer yet solid at speed, on piste or off.
Tailored Titanal Frames are sized to each ski length, so shorter skis run lighter and more agile while longer ones get extra stiffness and damping. Tailored Carbon Tips add a quick, precise shovel response, and the multilayer woodcore adds edge grip.
Key Features
- Waist Width: 96 mm
- Centre Radius: 13.7 m
- 4 Radius Drive: Four sidecut radii along the ski: approx. 20 m in the front 10 cm for immediate edge response, approx. 40 m from shovel to binding for stability at speed, approx. 15 m under the binding for short turns and carving, and approx. 25 m from behind the binding to the tail for controlled turn exits
- Tailored Titanal Frame: Titanal frame width is matched to each ski length and sits above the sidewall in the tip and tail, so longer lengths carry more titanal for stiffness and damping and shorter lengths carry less for agility
- Binding Area Titanal: A second, thinner titanal layer under the binding adds strength while keeping the ski agile
- Tailored Carbon Tips: Individual carbon fibers are embroidered onto a carrier material and aligned along the stress lines, with fiber thickness and placement tuning tip stiffness and torsion
- Multilayer Woodcore: Hardwood beside the sidewall improves power transmission and edge grip, while lighter softwood in the center reduces weight, and both run the full ski length
- Ski Profile: Tip and tail rocker with camber in the middle
- Sidewall: Full ABS sidewall for impact resistance and direct power transfer to the edges
- Base Material: Sintered high-density, high molecular weight P-Tex 2100 polyethylene
- Base Structure: Brushed structure, shallow and matched to wide skis for smoother turning with less catching
- Finish: Serial Finish, factory tuned for immediate performance with no extra prep
