The Covert Vest borrows its silhouette from a wool sweater, not the usual trail fleece, so it works over a collared shirt just as well as under a shell. Recycled polyester fleece holds up through hut trips and daily wear, resisting pilling and rock snags that would fray a cheaper fabric.
Alpenex II heathered fleece gives this redesign a softer hand feel and steadier warmth than before, with flatlock seams keeping things smooth against skin. Stretch knit cuffs keep the fit snug at the wrist, while a drop back hem and zippered hand pockets add coverage and secure storage.
