These are Burton's best two-layer waterproof pants, a solid pick when the forecast looks grim and the snow still looks good. The relaxed AG cut gives you plenty of room to move and layer underneath. Sizing is true gender-neutral, so you can simply go with the fit that suits you.
The shell uses GORE-TEX 2-Layer fabric in 150D recycled polyester, so the waterproofing and breathability come from the material itself. Inner thigh vents open up when you warm up on a climb. Water-resistant zippers and a lower cuff lining help keep slush out, and boot gaiters seal the deal at the bottom. Hand warmer pockets give your fingers a cozy spot to hide between runs. Honestly, dry pants are the whole game.
