Union paired an aluminum heelcup with a magnesium ratchet on the Ultra, aiming for a binding that holds up over years of use.
The heelcup keeps your heel locked in with less drag, and the ratchet's steel base adds to its lifespan and spring return. Arthur Longo and Gigi Rüf ride the Ultra too, putting that hardware through real terrain.
