In our quest for improvement, we thoroughly examined how to enhance the Basic. After testing numerous alternatives, we consistently found that the original shape and ride of the Basic stood out above the rest. Instead of altering something that already excelled, we chose to retain all the remarkable attributes of the Basic while enhancing its visual appeal. Furthermore, we have fine-tuned the CamRock to offer a more subtle feel, providing the forgiveness you desire without compromising the necessary drive. The UnderBite outline has also undergone refinement, amplifying the board’s arc, grip, and overall carving experience across every design where it is applied. SHAPE / PROFILE

Shape: True Twin

• A twin snowboard is symmetrically shaped, with an identical nose and tail, enabling riders to perform maneuvers and tricks with ease in both regular and switch stances. This symmetrical design ensures equal performance characteristics regardless of direction, facilitating versatile riding experiences. Ideal for freestyle riders and terrain park enthusiasts, twin snowboards enhance maneuverability, allow for seamless transitions between tricks, and promote a balanced feel. The symmetrical shape fosters a consistent and predictable ride, making it well-suited for those who enjoy riding in various directions and executing tricks with a uniform approach.

Profile: CamRock 3-4-3

• Camrocker boards have a profile where the center of the board is closer to the snow, and the nose and tail are raised.
• Enhances float in powder, makes turn initiation easier, and is generally more forgiving.
• May sacrifice some edge hold and stability compared to traditional camber.

Flex

• 5/10 - Perfectly symmetrical shape for balanced riding, equally versatile both when used regular and when used in switch. Great balance between feline stability and freestyle mobility, no matter which way you point it.

CONSTRUCTION

Extruded

• YES Snowboards' extruded bases are durable, low-maintenance, and cost-effective, making them ideal for beginner and casual riders. Created by melting polyethylene pellets and molding them, these bases have lower porosity, requiring less waxing and simplifying tuning. While sintered bases offer higher performance, extruded bases provide a smoother learning curve and forgiving ride in various conditions.

Full Poplar

• Poplar is known for its combination of lightweight and strength, providing a good balance for the core. Its lightweight nature contributes to the overall reduced weight of the snowboard.
• Additionally, poplar offers a consistent and predictable flex pattern, enhancing the board's responsiveness.
• The wood's durability ensures the core can withstand the stresses of riding while maintaining a desirable flex. Overall, poplar wood helps create snowboards that are lightweight, durable, and responsive, catering to a broad range of riders.

Biax

• Biaxial or "Biax" fiberglass consists of fibers running in two directions, typically along the length and width of the board. This construction provides a balanced flex pattern, making the snowboard more forgiving and easier to control. It enhances torsional flexibility, allowing for smoother turns and maneuvers, which is particularly beneficial for riders who prioritize a playful and versatile riding experience rather than aggressive performance.

• The Y3D Jib/Street is the most cozy 3D in the collection. A real smooth operator that will have your back all day long. Easy to navigate short and sketchy in runs and the most forgiving 3D giving comfort progressing your rail game.
• Wide center base for stability on rails and obstacles.
• Medium uplift of the side bases for control on difficult run ins and sketchy landings.
• Early start of the side base uplift for a nice and loose underfoot feel, forgiveness and no edge catch.

Sidekick

• Sidekick technology elevates the edges at the widest points of the board’s nose and tail, minimizing the risk of catching an edge. This design enhances forgiveness during rides, ensuring a smoother experience. Particularly beneficial in powder snow, Sidekick optimizes floatation, by flushing snow outwards. It also helps preventing unexpected edge catches when riding on a flat base.

• This is a 3D feature in the tip and tail sections outside the snowboard’s effective edge. It’s there when you need it and it will only be effective in pow, slush and shitty ‘end of the day’ bumpy snow conditions. When everything is perfectly groomed SIDEKICK is not influencing the ride.
